Nur 3% Kindertagesbetreuer – 2,2% Tagesväter

ZAHL der Woche – 11 111 Männer in Kindertagesbetreuung tätig

11 111 Männer waren im März 2007 in Deutschland beruflich in der Kindertagesbetreuung tätig. Wie das Statistische Bundesamt (Destatis) mitteilt, arbeiteten 10 373 Männer in Tageseinrichtungen direkt mit den Kindern und 738 Männer als Tagesvater.

Damit lag der Anteil der Männer an allen in Tageseinrichtungen in der direkten Kinderbetreuung Beschäftigten bei 3%, der Anteil der Tagesväter an allen Tagespflegepersonen betrug 2,2%.

Kommentar: Wo erhebt sich jetzt der Schrei nach einer Männerquote? Wo sollte er angebrachter sein als überall dort, wo Kinder die Betroffenen sind?
